ChIP kit 包含 positive control 抗體 (RNA polymerase II)、negative control non-immune IgG 和 GAPDH primers 可用於進行試劑套組的 positive control 效能與步驟驗證，在大多成長的動物細胞中，GAPDH 基因啟動子會聚集RNA polymerase II，所以能透過 RNA polymerase II 的抗體來抓取，反之 non-immune IgG 則不會被抓取，免疫沉澱後可將和蛋白結合的 DNA 沖洗下來，並且進行許多後續的實驗分析。
